Welcome to my first Workout Wednesday Post- Where Workout Wednesday meets What They Ate Wednesday and you get a glimpse into the life of some of the best trainers and athletes in the world. From Chicago to LA to Dallas and now New York, Bethany brings fitness spice from all corners of the country. She has been teaching a variety of fitness methods for 10 years with a primary focus on the Megaformer workout. Bethany is personally responsible for the training and development of each new instructor that comes through SLT’s doors. Her Pilates and dance background will ensure perfect form and her affinity for cardio and intensity will challenge you to work your butt off. Bethany pours her heart and soul into every class she teaches and encourages clients to leave it all on the machine. She will inspire you to perspire and motivate you like you’ve never been motivated before. And like Bethany always says … “Hate me now, thank me later.”
I personally have taken Bethany’s class a number of times and it’s always fun yet challenging. I am not a dancer by any means and have a hard time with coordination. But whenever I take a class with Bethany, I feel like I’m gliding and dancing on the machine effortlessly and eloquently. As a runner, I’m all about form and so is Bethany; if you’re not doing it right she will let you know! It’s an intimate setting with around 10-12 people in the class, so you don’t get lost in the shuffle of everyone else. With this class, you get the benefit of having your own private Pilates lesson but with the upbeat energy of the entire class, including the spunky Bethany. The class moves with the flow of the music so you’re never bored and constantly moving from one position to the next. You really maximize your 50 minute workout. Ohh and injured? Do not worry! I was dealing with an injury and Bethany accomodated me the whole way through the class. It’s a really low impact workout, so I find it one of the best cross training methods to compliment whatever sport you like! Just be warned- your stomach will be too sore to laugh for the next couple of days and you will have a hard time sitting up and down. SORE glutes to say the least!!
A day with SLT Master Instructor, Bethany
We like to get creative with our recipes and think of ways to make traditional favorites more healthy. Tonight we got the girls together and made a zucchini noodle “pasta”using the spiralizer with gluten-free bread crumbs topped with shrimp and a lemon vinaigrette to add some zesty flavor.
And at the end of a long day, I’m not mad about throwing in a little cocktail.
[…] So excited I will also be contributing to SLT first ever Spring Forward Challenge! Participants will be receiving special recipes from me […]
